Good to know in Bangladesh
The birth certificate is needed for school admission, passports, NID, marriage registration and more.
Late registration needs proof such as a vaccination card, school certificate or hospital discharge paper.

The count runs from the date of birth to the application date. Day 45 is still free; from day 46 the fee is ৳25. Five years are complete on the fifth birthday (a 29 February birthday counts as 28 February in non-leap years), and from the next day the fee is ৳50.
Corrections usually need supporting documents, such as an SSC certificate or hospital papers for the date of birth. The fee is per application; a rejected application may need a new fee.
