Frequently asked questions

Are katha and bigha the same everywhere?

No. We use the common standard (1 katha = 720 sq ft, 1 bigha = 20 katha). Some regions use local sizes, so check against your deed or the local land office.

Is a shotok the same as a decimal?

Yes. 1 shotok (shotangsho) = 1 decimal = 435.6 sq ft.

How up to date are the khajna, mutation and registration rates?

Every calculator lists its government sources and the date they were checked. We update when rates change; confirm the final cost at the land office or sub-registry office.
