What to know in Bangladesh

There are two common ways to count, and both are right depending on the question.
Plain difference is how much time has passed. From the morning of the 1st to the morning of the 5th, 4 days pass. Ages, terms and “how many days left” use this.
Including the end day is how many days were used. Taking leave from the 1st to the 5th means 5 days away. Leave, hospital stays, contract days and event days use this.
If unsure: the same start and end date is 0 days as a difference, 1 day when the end day is included.

How do I count the days between two dates?
Count calendar days from the start date to the end date, using each month's real length (28, 29, 30 or 31 days). The calculator does this for you, including leap years.
Are the start and end days counted?
The usual difference doesn't count the start day — the 1st to the 5th is 4 days. For leave or contracts both days count (the 1st to the 5th is 5 days); turn on 'Count the end day too' for that.
How many months are between two dates?
The 'In years, months, days' row shows whole months plus leftover days, counted on the calendar: 15 January to 15 March is exactly 2 months.
What date is 100 days from today?
Choose 'Add / subtract days', keep today's date and enter 100. For example, 100 days after 2 October 2026 is Sunday, 10 January 2027.
How many working days, excluding Fridays?
With 'Friday' as the weekly holiday, Fridays are removed from the total to give working days. If you get Friday and Saturday off, like government offices, choose 'Fri & Sat'.
Are public holidays like Eid or Puja removed?
No. Public holidays change every year (Eid depends on the moon), so only weekly holidays are removed. Subtract any public holidays in the range yourself.
Does it handle leap years?
Yes. February has 29 days in a leap year and 28 otherwise. 28 February to 1 March is 2 days in 2024 but 1 day in 2023.
