How is the due date found?

Naegele's rule: first day of the last period + 280 days (40 weeks). 1 January gives 8 October.

Is the date exact?

No — only ~5% of babies arrive on it. Between 37 and 42 weeks is normal.

What if periods are irregular?

This math is less reliable then. The first ultrasound measurement counts most.

What if the date passes?

Contact your doctor after 41 weeks. This calculator shows “overdue”.

How are pregnancy weeks counted?

Full weeks since the last period. 90 days is 12 weeks 6 days.
