Set the savings aside first when salary arrives — saving “what’s left” rarely works. If the monthly looks steep, stretch the time or shrink the goal. In a bank account, interest adds a little, so you may need slightly less than this plan.
Frequently asked questions
What is the savings-goal formula?
Monthly = (goal − saved) ÷ months. For example (50,000 − 5,000) ÷ 10 = 4,500 taka.
Is interest included?
No — this is a simple plan. Money in a bank earns a little extra, so saving per this plan is the safe side. For profit with interest, see the DPS calculator.
What if savings already cover the goal?
It shows “Goal reached” — nothing more to save.
What if I start mid-month?
Count whole months. Fractions like 10.5 months are not accepted — enter 10 or 11.
How is this different from DPS?
DPS pays bank interest, so the same goal needs a slightly smaller monthly. This plan ignores interest — the safe estimate.
