What happens when the budget changes the slabs?

We update the slabs after each June budget. Every page shows the source and the date it was last checked.

When is the return deadline?

Under the Finance Act 2026 you can file at any time of the year. Filing in July–September earns a rebate on tax, and filing from January onwards adds extra tax. Details are on the income tax calculator page.
